Master Class “Music and Emotion”

General Summary: The Masterclass deals with a system to analyze music in "emotional layers", where musical composition techniques are classified into "emotional dimensions", which branch into different variables that generate specific emotions. The course proposes a system of 18 dimensions and seeks to assign an emotional state to each technical resource in order to consciously generate emotional states with music. Emotional quantification and emotional normalization are also discussed in the context of globalization and global communication, as well as the emotions generated by the different harmonic, melodic, rhythmic, and color dimensions of music.

Objective: The objective of the Masterclass is not only to create in the student the expectation for a completely different theoretical/practical way of observing music and venturing into musical creativity, but also to offer an in-depth course in the future that allows the student to Student fully master the necessary resources to compose their own music and have a novel and purposeful speech of their own.

Duration: The duration of the Online Masterclass is 3 hours, 1 hour and a half for the first part, a break of 20 minutes and 1 hour and a half for the second part.

Cost: $50 USD per student.
